Writer friends are the bestest friends.
After NaNoWriMo last November, I pretty much stopped writing altogether. Burn out is a thing. Plus, Fallout 76 happened. It wasn’t until MAY that I finally stopped marathoning video games and started writing again.
Huge shout out to my pals S.E. Drummond and K.M. West for teaming up with me to write a SFF story together and pulling me out of my slump. We’re each writing our own stuff for our planned collection, but everything takes place on the same world. Super fun times!
A second group of writer friends invited me to join their new critique group, so I started working on my NaNoWriMo WIP again! I’ve already gotten such great feedback on it. I was ready to put the whole story aside, but I’m glad to be revising it instead.
So the moral of the story is: get you some good writing buddies who you work well with in some form or another and share your work! The end.
