Writing/Editing Surprises

The neatest thing just happened while I was editing. I came to a part where I added this line:

“Jaelin huffed, and sat down on her cot, crossing her arms and legs in front of her.”

It was something that I thought needed to happen. I decided that I would change whatever action happened later, when I came to it, if it didn’t fit with what I added. I continued editing. One line later, I read this:

“Jaelin huffed and returned to her cot, sitting down.”

What?! Amazing! I either know my characters really well, or somewhere in the back of my unconscious mind I remembered the minuscule action. I think it’s even crazier that I used such similar wording. I could have said “gave an aggravated grunt” or something, but I didn’t.
