I’ve been stretching my sci-fi writing wings today. I started working on a story involving time travel that I initially began last December, but never finished. It was only ever meant to be a short story, but knowing me, I’ll probably have have fifty thousand words written before I’m done with it.
I’ve had a lot of fun getting back into the time travel story today. I had forgotten the way that I had written it, organized it, and changed perspectives in it.
Time travel! It is SO much fun. And, it’s kind of all over the place. I love it. It’s “a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff,” if you know what I mean.
I had intended to do other things today. If you’ve been following my blog, than you know that I need to sit down, and come up with some workable book titles for the novel that I want to get published. You probably also know that I am addicted to writing though. The good news about this addiction of mine however, is that I’m not depressed about finishing my last book anymore!
Just like picking up a new book to read after finishing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, or some other good book, I have picked up a new story, and lost myself in it. I’m writing the stories I’m talking about of course, not just reading them, so its a tad bit different.
I may have finished writing about magic for now, but I’ve got plenty of criss-crossing time traveling spirals and ladders to wander up and down to keep myself busy for the next few days at least. I’ll work on getting published when I’m done with this science fiction story. I promise.
Maybe I should talk about how difficult it is to type while your first two fingers are crossed in my next post…
